1. Overdo with your signature

Chances are the customer won't even read the email anymore. You must know how to strategically place your links and make attention catching statements but don't make it too complicated.

2. Set a correct small target before getting sales

Not all clicks will convert into a sale but you shouldn't be discouraged. You have to take advantage of possible sales or situations that might lead into a sale. Have your customer fill out an opt-in form prior to sending them to your affiliate links. Offer something free for your customers. People love getting freebies. Your customers will feel valued if they get something free even before deciding to buy. Once your customer opts in then your potential number of sale increases. 3. Ignoring the process and system

Do not focus on your needs to earn money; instead showcase to your customers the benefits they will get from the product. You need to get your customers "warmed up" for the product. Creating value for the customers is the way to go if you want to earn more.

6. No commitments

If you are a just a beginner or even if you've been in the business of affiliate marketing for some time, chances are you are using a free or a paid hosted website. There is nothing wrong with this, but if you want to be perceived as a serious affiliate marketer then you must look into hosting your own domain. Yes, they will require money and of course you will have to maintain it but if you have your own domain your customers will take you seriously and you will leave a better impression as to how serious you are in the business.

7. Choosing a wrong product

Never make the mistake of picking the first item you see. This is a very serious mistake in affiliate marketing. Although a product has a high commission payout it doesn't automatically mean that it is the best product for you.
